Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure across state facilities and remote sites.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Enforce strict data security protocols and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade legacy systems and modernize IT services.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and junior analysts.
- Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and performance tuning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network administration, systems engineering, or technical support.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and cloud technologies (Azure or AWS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
