Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles for critical city infrastructure modernization initiatives
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, finance, and departmental stakeholders
- Manage project budgets exceeding $5M with rigorous fiscal oversight
- Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies for complex government IT deployments
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (FISMA, NIST, CA Public Records Act)
- Develop comprehensive risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Facilitate vendor management for third-party technology partnerships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years progressive IT project management experience in government/public sector
- PMP or CSM certification required
- Expertise with enterprise-scale ERP, CRM, or infrastructure migration projects
- Demonstrated success managing budgets >$3M with 95%+ on-time delivery
- Advanced proficiency in Jira, MS Project, and government reporting tools
- Strong understanding of CA procurement processes and public contracting regulations
