Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
- Configure, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software issues for internal staff.
- Implement and enforce IT security protocols to safeguard sensitive government data.
- Assist in the deployment and integration of new IT systems and software upgrades.
- Provide technical support, training, and documentation for end-users.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with state standards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and TCP/IP networking.
- Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced government environment.
