Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and external vendors, to ensure project milestones are met.
- Ensure all project deliverables adhere to state procurement regulations, compliance standards, and security protocols.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Identify potential risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Communicate complex project status, risks, and achievements to senior leadership and diverse stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the public sector or large enterprise environments.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex government bureaucracy and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
