Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, and network issues for internal staff and students.
- Monitor and maintain server infrastructure and data center operations during weekend shifts.
- Manage and prioritize a high volume of IT service requests and incidents.
- Collaborate with the Monday-Friday operations team to ensure seamless service handover.
- Ensure strict compliance with state data security and privacy regulations.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Conduct user training sessions on new software and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts and holidays as required.
- Experience with remote support tools (e.g., Zoom, TeamViewer, remote desktop).
