Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows Server, Linux, and cloud-based infrastructure
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and ensure compliance with NIST standards
- Oversee network operations including VPN, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Lead system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery initiatives
- Provide Tier-3 technical support and mentor junior IT staff
- Develop and maintain system documentation and SOPs
- Collaborate with county departments to align technology with service goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in enterprise-level systems administration
- Expertise in Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Proven experience with scripting (PowerShell/Python)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Texas driver's license required for occasional county facility visits
