Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize enterprise Windows/Linux server environments across 15+ state agencies
- Implement cybersecurity protocols including NIST compliance and zero-trust architecture
- Lead disaster recovery planning and system backup/restore procedures
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement and lifecycle management
- Mentor junior IT staff through formal training programs
- Document all system configurations and compliance reports
- Respond to critical incidents within SLA timeframes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering enterprise Windows Server 2019+ and Linux environments
- Active CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification
- Expert knowledge of Azure cloud services and hybrid infrastructure
- Experience with VMware ESXi and Hyper-V virtualization
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Bash)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Georgia government security clearance
