Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Oversee cloud infrastructure operations including Azure and hybrid cloud configurations
- Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct regular system backup/recovery testing
- Lead security compliance initiatives for NIST and county-specific protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology integration projects
- Document system architecture and create technical procedure manuals
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex system outages and performance optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of enterprise systems administration experience
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019/2022 and Active Directory management
- Strong knowledge of network security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, PowerShell scripting)
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- County government experience highly desirable
