Tarrant County is expanding our IT division and is urgently seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Technology Specialist to join our team. This is a critical role to ensure the stability and security of our county-wide digital infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of county-wide network infrastructure and server environments.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for hardware and software systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement and optimize IT solutions.
- Ensure data security and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships for IT services and equipment.
- Train non-technical staff on new software and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, server hardware, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure is mandatory.
- Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, urgent environment.
