Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
- Monitor system performance and health, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact users.
- Manage and troubleshoot hardware and software problems for internal staff and county departments.
- Ensure compliance with government security standards, data privacy regulations, and IT policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute technology upgrades and migrations.
- Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or IT support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative government environment.
