Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the city's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless systems.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and data integrity.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into government workflows.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or IT support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and data privacy laws.
