Responsibilities
- Manage official municipal records, permits, and public documents with meticulous attention to detail
- Coordinate city council meetings, agendas, and minute preparation ensuring compliance with Ohio Sunshine Laws
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens and municipal departments regarding administrative inquiries
- Oversee digital record management systems and implement data integrity protocols
- Process financial transactions and budget documentation with precision
- Train junior clerks on municipal procedures and regulatory compliance
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city leadership and public transparency initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of municipal/government administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and municipal record-keeping software
- Deep understanding of Ohio Sunshine Laws and public record regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Certification as Municipal Clerk (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Experience with public meeting facilitation and minute-taking
