Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on municipal buildings, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment including trenchers, forklifts, and hydraulic systems
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and municipal safety protocols
- Lead junior technicians in complex maintenance projects and emergency response scenarios
- Inspect and maintain public facilities including plumbing, electrical systems, and landscaping
- Document maintenance activities using digital systems and prepare compliance reports
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of municipal or commercial maintenance experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Certification in Heavy Equipment Operation or Public Works Maintenance preferred
- Expertise in blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in adverse weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of sustainable infrastructure practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Must pass background check and drug screening
