Responsibilities
- Design and implement year-round recreational programs for diverse age groups
- Supervise park maintenance operations and ensure safety compliance
- Coordinate community events with 500+ attendees
- Manage volunteer programs and seasonal staff
- Oversee facility budgets and resource allocation
- Develop strategic partnerships with local organizations
- Conduct facility inspections and maintenance scheduling
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management or related field
- 3+ years experience in municipal parks/recreation
- Texas Parks & Recreation Society (TPRS) certification
- CPR/First Aid certification required
- Proven budget management experience ($100k+)
- Strong event coordination and vendor negotiation skills
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred
- Valid Texas Driver's License
