Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of 50+ acres of park facilities
- Design and implement innovative recreational programs for all age groups
- Manage special events serving 500+ attendees with safety-first protocols
- Lead cross-functional teams in facility improvement projects
- Develop annual budgets exceeding $2M for park resources
- Conduct community outreach to identify emerging recreational needs
- Ensure ADA compliance and accessibility standards across all facilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years progressive experience in parks/recreation leadership
- Texas Parks & Recreation Society (TPRS) certification preferred
- First Aid/CPR and AED certification required
- Proven budget management experience with $1M+ portfolios
- Strong knowledge of Texas safety regulations and compliance
- Exceptional event coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency required
