Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative recreational programs for diverse demographics
- Oversee park facility operations and maintenance protocols
- Manage event coordination for 500+ attendee community gatherings
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives for urban park development
- Train and supervise recreation staff and volunteers
- Develop grant proposals and manage departmental budgets
- Ensure ADA compliance and safety standards across all facilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years progressive experience in park management
- CPRP certification or equivalent credentials
- Proven budget management exceeding $500K
- Strong proficiency in recreation software (e.g., RecTrac)
- Experience with municipal government procurement processes
- Demonstrated leadership in team development
- Valid Georgia driver's license
