Responsibilities
- Analyze complex pension plans, financial statements, and actuarial projections to ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Develop and implement strategic retirement program enhancements aligned with legislative requirements
- Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on retirement eligibility, benefit calculations, and policy interpretations
- Lead cross-functional projects to modernize pension administration systems and reporting frameworks
- Conduct thorough audits and risk assessments to maintain fiduciary accountability
- Prepare comprehensive reports for the Board of Trustees, regulatory agencies, and legislative bodies
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension administration, benefits analysis, or actuarial experience
- Advanced proficiency in pension valuation software (e.g., Milliman, Towers Watson)
- Certified Public Pension Administrator (CPPA) or similar designation required
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 415(c), and DC-specific pension regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Experience with government budget cycles and public sector pension systems
