Responsibilities
- Analyze investment performance and risk metrics for multi-billion dollar pension portfolios
- Develop actuarial models and funding recommendations for 20+ public pension systems
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports for legislative oversight and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with investment committees on asset allocation and ESG integration strategies
- Lead system upgrades for pension administration technology platforms
- Present complex financial data to non-technical stakeholders including elected officials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension fund or public sector investment analysis experience
- CFA or CMA certification strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and financial modeling software
- Deep understanding of GASB, ERISA, and California pension regulations
- Experience with CalPERS or CalSTRS systems highly desirable
- Ability to obtain and maintain California government security clearance
