Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of federal pension plans, including enrollment, contribution processing, and disbursement.
- Ensure strict compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and federal labor laws.
- Perform actuarial valuations and prepare reports for regulatory bodies and executive leadership.
- Analyze pension fund data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Coordinate with external auditors and consultants to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain secure records of employee retirement data and beneficiary information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in pension administration, benefits management, or federal government operations.
- Deep understanding of ERISA, FERS, and other federal retirement systems.
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Ceridian, SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
