- Data Integrity: Maintain precise records in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP) and ensure all pension data is up-to-date and audit-ready.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to ERISA, FERPA, and IRS regulations governing retirement plans.
- Client Support: Provide expert guidance to retirees and beneficiaries regarding benefit distributions, survivorship, and claims.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze weekly and monthly pension reports to track liabilities and fund status.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in pension workflows and propose solutions to enhance operational speed and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in pension administration, payroll, or benefits management within the public sector or government contracting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources; CPA or SHRM-CP preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with government benefits software.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and compassionately to clients.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on accuracy when handling sensitive financial data.
- Remote Setup: Must have a dedicated home office environment and reliable internet.
