Responsibilities
- Manage and administer the state pension plan in accordance with legal requirements and actuarial standards.
- Conduct regular audits of pension data to ensure accuracy and compliance with state regulations.

- Analyze complex financial data to prepare reports for the State Board of Administration.
- Collaborate with external actuaries and legal teams to ensure optimal pension fund performance.
- Oversee the processing of retirement applications and benefit calculations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or public sector finance.
- Strong knowledge of ERISA regulations and California State Government pension laws.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Certification (e.g., CFP, FPC, or CPA) is a plus.
