Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations on regional development initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to align policy objectives
- Conduct comprehensive stakeholder engagement with local authorities and community groups
- Analyze complex socio-economic data to inform strategic decision-making
- Lead policy implementation projects with measurable impact metrics
- Represent the department at high-level government consultations
- Mentor junior policy analysts to build institutional capacity
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in UK public sector policy development
- Expertise in regional regeneration frameworks and levelling up initiatives
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative data analysis tools (SPSS, R)
- Proven track record of stakeholder management at senior levels
- Valid UK security clearance (SC level or willingness to obtain)
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RGS, RTPI) preferred
