Responsibilities
- Lead cross-departmental policy development and implementation strategies
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on emerging policy issues
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations and impact assessments
- Engage with stakeholders including public bodies, NGOs, and industry partners
- Prepare high-level briefings for ministers and senior officials
- Monitor policy outcomes and recommend evidence-based improvements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' policy development experience in public sector
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Understanding of Scottish political landscape and governance structures
