Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based policies aligned with Boston's strategic goals
- Analyze complex urban challenges and propose innovative solutions
- Collaborate with department heads and community stakeholders
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations
- Monitor federal/state policy developments and assess local impact
- Lead cross-functional task forces on priority initiatives
- Present findings to City Council and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government/public sector experience
- Expertise in municipal policy development and implementation
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and public consultation
- Knowledge of Boston's governmental structure and challenges
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
