Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy frameworks aligned with state priorities and legislative goals
- Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to inform evidence-based decision-making
- Coordinate with 15+ state agencies to ensure policy coherence and implementation
- Prepare high-impact briefings for executive leadership and legislative bodies
- Monitor policy outcomes through quantitative metrics and qualitative assessments
- Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives with community groups and industry partners
- Manage complex projects with budgets exceeding $5M
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in government policy development or public sector consulting
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-stakeholder policy initiatives
- Deep knowledge of New York's governmental structure and legislative processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with executive presence
- Valid New York State driver's license
