Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate tax policies aligned with UK fiscal objectives and international standards
- Analyze economic data and stakeholder feedback to inform policy recommendations
- Collaborate with Treasury, OBR, and parliamentary committees on legislative drafting
- Lead policy impact assessments including distributional and behavioral analysis
- Present complex policy proposals to senior stakeholders and parliamentary bodies
- Mentor junior policy analysts and oversee policy development projects
- Monitor international tax developments and advise on UK alignment strategies
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years experience in tax policy, economic analysis, or public sector strategy
- Expertise in quantitative analysis and policy impact modeling
- Deep understanding of UK tax system and fiscal policy frameworks
- Exceptional written communication for policy papers and parliamentary submissions
- Proven experience collaborating with cross-government stakeholders
- Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) or equivalent professional qualification preferred
- Security clearance eligibility required
