Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based policies addressing homeland security threats in the Northeast region
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies to align security initiatives with national priorities
- Analyze complex intelligence data to recommend actionable policy recommendations
- Represent DHS at intergovernmental forums and stakeholder engagement meetings
- Oversee policy implementation and conduct compliance audits for federal regulations
- Lead crisis response planning for natural disasters and security incidents
- Mentor junior policy analysts and supervise cross-functional task forces
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance (required)
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Homeland Security, or related field
- 5+ years of federal government policy development experience
- Expertise in critical infrastructure protection or counterterrorism strategies
- Proven track record of interagency collaboration and stakeholder management
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in policy impact assessment methodologies
