Responsibilities
- Develop and recommend evidence-based policy solutions to address complex urban challenges
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts for city-wide initiatives
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on equity-focused policy implementation
- Prepare comprehensive briefing materials for executive leadership and council members
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess implications for District operations
- Manage stakeholder engagement with community groups and industry partners
- Oversee policy research and data analysis projects with $2M+ budgets
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and statistical analysis
- Proven track record of successfully implementing city-level policy initiatives
- Deep understanding of federal-state-local government dynamics
- Exceptional written communication with published policy briefs or reports
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
