Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues affecting Texas communities
- Develop legislative recommendations and policy briefings for state leadership
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives
- Conduct economic impact assessments for proposed legislation
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Monitor federal policy changes affecting state programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R/Stata)
- Deep understanding of Texas legislative process
- Strong written communication with sample policy writing required
- TX state residency required at time of hire
