Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy data and draft legislative recommendations for state agencies
- Conduct stakeholder consultations with community leaders and industry experts
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess impacts on Washington state
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative committees
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget allocation strategies
- Evaluate program effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative metrics
- Represent the agency at public forums and legislative hearings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with budget formulation and fiscal impact analysis
- Strong writing skills with portfolio of published policy documents
- Knowledge of Washington state legislative processes and regulations
- Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance
- Valid Washington State driver's license
