Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging policy trends, legislative impacts, and socioeconomic data to inform state strategies
- Develop comprehensive policy proposals and implementation roadmaps aligned with Ohio's strategic priorities
- Coordinate interagency task forces and stakeholder consultations to ensure inclusive policy development
- Prepare detailed policy briefs, testimony, and executive summaries for legislative and executive leadership
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess implications for Ohio's policy landscape
- Evaluate program effectiveness through quantitative analysis and performance metrics
- Mentor junior analysts and lead cross-functional policy initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative analysis tools (SPSS, R, Stata) and qualitative research methodologies
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing evidence-based policy frameworks
- Proficiency in Ohio state government operations and legislative processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Professional certification (e.g., PPFA, CPAP) preferred
- Valid Ohio driver's license may be required for field assignments
