Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze complex fiscal policies with direct impact on city revenue and services
- Lead cross-departmental research initiatives using advanced data modeling techniques
- Present policy recommendations to senior officials and legislative bodies
- Manage high-stakes projects with $50M+ budget implications
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate inter-agency task forces
- Prepare comprehensive reports for City Council and Mayoral offices
- Monitor federal/state legislative changes affecting NYC finances
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in developing data-driven policy recommendations
- Experience with NYC municipal operations and budget processes
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Valid NYS driver's license (may be required for field work)
