Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban policy issues and develop evidence-based recommendations for city departments
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research and prepare comprehensive reports for leadership review
- Coordinate with community stakeholders, agencies, and legislative bodies on policy implementation
- Monitor policy outcomes and evaluate effectiveness using performance metrics
- Present findings to City Council members, senior leadership, and public forums
- Lead cross-functional initiatives addressing equity, sustainability, and economic development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in municipal/government setting
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes
- Deep knowledge of Boston's government structure, regulations, and community dynamics
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license (required for field work)
