Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex urban policy issues related to infrastructure, sustainability, and social equity
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations for city council and mayoral review
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives and stakeholder engagement processes
- Prepare comprehensive reports, memoranda, and legislative briefings
- Monitor federal/state legislative impacts on municipal operations
- Manage policy implementation projects and evaluate outcomes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of government or public policy experience
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative analysis and data visualization tools
- Experience with municipal budget processes and grant writing
- Strong knowledge of Missouri state regulations and Kansas City governance structure
- Exceptional written/oral communication and presentation skills
