Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft actionable recommendations for county commissioners
- Conduct comprehensive research on emerging trends in urban development, healthcare, and transportation
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for public hearings and legislative sessions
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces to implement new county ordinances
- Monitor federal and state legislation affecting local governance priorities
- Lead community outreach initiatives to gather stakeholder input on policy proposals
- Manage grant applications and compliance for federally funded programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in municipal or state government
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Proven track record of developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Deep knowledge of Nevada Revised Statutes and Clark County Charter
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience with public budgeting processes and grant management
