Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex urban policy issues affecting Sacramento residents
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations for City Council review
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on implementation strategies
- Monitor federal/state legislation impacts on local government operations
- Facilitate community engagement sessions for public feedback
- Manage grant applications for policy initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Expertise in Sacramento's municipal governance structure
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, R, Tableau)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Valid California driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
