Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze municipal policies across housing, transportation, and sustainability sectors
- Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for City Council and Mayor's Office
- Conduct stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations and residents
- Monitor federal/state grant opportunities and manage compliance reporting
- Lead interdepartmental task forces on priority initiatives
- Present findings at public hearings and legislative meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Proficiency in quantitative data analysis (SPSS/R/Excel)
- Valid California driver's license
- Experience with Oakland city government operations preferred
- Strong writing and public presentation skills
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks
