Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze legislative proposals, regulations, and policy frameworks for state agencies
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to evaluate policy effectiveness and socioeconomic impacts
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs, reports, and testimony for legislative committees
- Coordinate with stakeholders including state agencies, community organizations, and legislative staff
- Monitor federal and state legislative developments to identify emerging policy trends
- Mentor junior analysts and lead cross-functional project teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sectors
- Expertise in quantitative research methods and data visualization tools
- Proven track record of developing actionable policy recommendations
- Knowledge of Washington State legislative processes and regulatory frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
