Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues across housing, transportation, and economic development sectors
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community groups, nonprofits, and federal partners
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for the Mayor's office
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced data visualization tools
- Oversee implementation of equity-focused policy initiatives across 8 wards
- Monitor federal legislation impacts and recommend adaptive strategies
- Mentor junior analysts on policy development best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative analysis (SPSS, R) and qualitative research methodologies
- Proven ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder projects
- Deep knowledge of DC's governmental structure and policy landscape
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools
- Valid DC government security clearance or ability to obtain
