Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations for city council and mayoral office initiatives
- Analyze complex urban challenges using quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces on housing, transportation, and public safety
- Prepare executive briefings and legislative testimony for key stakeholders
- Oversee implementation of adopted policies through performance metrics tracking
- Manage public engagement processes including hearings and community forums
- Monitor federal and state legislative developments affecting local governance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in municipal/government setting
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy frameworks
- Strong knowledge of Indiana state regulations and Indianapolis ordinances
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing cross-functional government projects
- Valid Indiana driver's license
