Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues across healthcare, education, and economic development sectors
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations for executive leadership and council members
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with community organizations and agency partners
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony materials
- Monitor federal legislation and regulatory changes impacting District operations
- Lead cross-functional task forces on emerging policy challenges
- Manage policy implementation evaluation frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and statistical analysis
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Experience with stakeholder management and public policy advocacy
- Proficiency in policy development software (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, GIS tools)
- Knowledge of District of Columbia government structure and processes
