Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze comprehensive policy recommendations for urban development, sustainability, and public services
- Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to support evidence-based decision-making
- Collaborate with city departments, community stakeholders, and legislative bodies
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and legislative summaries for leadership review
- Monitor implementation of adopted policies and evaluate effectiveness
- Advise on compliance with state/federal regulations and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, ArcGIS)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of California municipal governance structures
- Valid California driver's license
