Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced economic and labor market analysis to inform state policy decisions
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations aligned with NYC's workforce needs
- Collaborate with legislative bodies and community stakeholders on implementation strategies
- Lead cross-functional teams on special projects including pandemic recovery initiatives
- Present findings to senior leadership and legislative committees
- Monitor federal and state legislative developments affecting labor policies
- Manage grant programs supporting workforce development initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (required)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in labor market data analysis (e.g., BLS, Census data)
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Stata, or SPSS)
- Experience developing policy briefs and legislative testimony
- Strong knowledge of New York State labor regulations and programs
- Excellent written/oral communication skills with diverse audiences
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines
