Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft comprehensive recommendations for state agencies
- Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to inform strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with legislative staff to develop and implement new policies
- Prepare concise executive briefings and presentations for senior leadership
- Monitor federal and state legislative developments affecting Indiana's priorities
- Lead cross-functional task forces to address emerging public challenges
- Maintain compliance with state regulatory requirements and reporting standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing policy solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Indiana's legislative and regulatory processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
