Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain comprehensive technology governance frameworks for Texas agencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cybersecurity and data privacy initiatives
- Prepare policy briefs, legislative testimony, and public-facing communications
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with government leaders, industry partners, and community groups
- Monitor compliance with federal regulations (e.g., NIST, FISMA) and state mandates
- Lead special projects on digital transformation and innovation in public sector technology
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in technology policy, government affairs, or public sector IT
- Deep understanding of Texas state government operations and legislative processes
- Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, data governance, or digital service standards
- Exceptional analytical and written communication skills with policy documentation experience
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders in public/private sectors
- Professional certification in IT governance (e.g., CISM, CISSP, or PMP) highly desirable
