Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive policy research frameworks addressing urban challenges
- Develop data-driven recommendations for legislative and administrative action
- Analyze fiscal impact of proposed policies using advanced economic modeling
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement across 20+ District agencies
- Prepare concise policy briefings for executive leadership and Council members
- Monitor federal compliance requirements for state-level implementation
- Mentor junior analysts while maintaining rigorous quality standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, or SAS) and GIS tools
- Demonstrated success in developing legislative recommendations adopted by policymakers
- Expert knowledge of federal-state intergovernmental relations frameworks
- Superior written communication with 100% on-time deliverable record
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days
