Responsibilities
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data to identify policy gaps and recommend evidence-based solutions
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing equitable economic initiatives
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with community organizations, labor unions, and private sector partners
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and presentations for executive leadership and City Council
- Manage program evaluation frameworks to measure impact and ensure accountability
- Oversee $5M+ grant programs supporting workforce development and small business growth
- Advise on federal/state funding opportunities and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Stata, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated success in designing and evaluating large-scale public programs
- Expertise in NYC's socioeconomic landscape and policy ecosystem
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Experience managing multi-year budgets and federal grant compliance
- Commitment to racial and economic justice principles
