Responsibilities
- Lead complex policy research and analysis for high-priority state initiatives
- Develop actionable recommendations through quantitative/qualitative data synthesis
- Collaborate with legislative offices and agency stakeholders to implement policy solutions
- Prepare comprehensive briefing materials for executive leadership and policymakers
- Monitor legislative developments and assess regulatory impacts
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee cross-functional project deliverables

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Expertise in quantitative research methods and statistical analysis
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Experience with California legislative process and regulatory frameworks
- Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in policy analysis software (e.g., Stata, R, Python)
- Valid California driver's license
