Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and regulatory impacts using quantitative/qualitative research methods
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations aligned with state strategic goals
- Prepare concise executive briefings and presentations for senior leadership
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to implement policy initiatives
- Monitor emerging trends and assess implications for state programs
- Manage cross-functional projects with multiple state departments
- Represent the agency in intergovernmental forums and public hearings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative analysis (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Proven track record of developing actionable policy recommendations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with New York State government operations preferred
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of federal/state regulatory frameworks
