Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues related to housing, transportation, and economic development
- Prepare comprehensive research reports and policy recommendations for County Commissioners
- Facilitate cross-departmental task forces and community engagement sessions
- Monitor legislative changes and assess potential impacts on County operations
- Manage grant applications and compliance for federal/state funding programs
- Present findings to public audiences through reports and public hearings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in municipal/county government
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, Python, SPSS)
- Proven track record in policy development and implementation
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Experience with budget analysis and grant management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
